and they’re up

When I changed the wall color in my office. I thought I was going to make a change with my collage wall. But after looking at it bare for a few months, and thinking about what it is that I love. The collage of photos is just that. So back up they went, and I feel so much better. I will likely make changes in the photos, and frames. But for now, I can check this wall off the list of things to do in my office, and focus on other changes in the space.

And as a reminder, here is what the color looked like before. I actually like it better now. Just being honest. Change is good.

The Moment We've All Been Waiting For!

My Honey did a wonderful job! Doesn't my office look fabulous? The green just comes alive with the contrast of the black furniture and accessories. The only thing I am waiting for is my light plate to dry (as you can see next to the Diana Ross pictures) as it was sprayed black. I also found that great green candle at Homegoods today. The only changes that I think I will make are the removal of the black leather cube, putting something on the big wall where the mirror plates are, and adding more magazine boxes for storage.

Thanks again to everyone that helped with color, gave opinions, and told me that it would be okay when I got stressed during this decorating project. NOW! ON TO THE NEXT ROOM! HAHAHAHA....OPINIONS?

Drum Roll Please!

This is the green that I went with. Its different, but I really like it. It looks really nice with the black furniture. As I type, my husband just feel back on the bed from his shower. He had been painting since 1pm while I was at work! He picked up kids from school, plus one that called us saying she was "sick", I came home to "help" with the base boards, he had to leave to take my son to basketball practice, then came back and finished painting, I took a "break" (LOL), he told me to go rest...I took his advice...he cleaned the kids bathroom, swept the kitchen (poor hubby), took out trash, showered, a little tv,...okay he was sleep until my son just shouted DADDY!!!!!!! DADDY!!!! at 12:05am So now he is up again...Sounds crazy huh? He will be sleep in probably 15 min, wake up around 11 and check the paint and have the room ready for me by the time I get home from work. I am one lucky chick!

***PROBLEM*** I have those mirrors hanging with permanent tape and he tried to take them off and one damn near rip the wall off! The directions said to use floss, anyone have any advice for getting them down.

PAINT ROUND 3

Ok, blog friends. I am really tired. FOR REAL TIRED. I have spent money on all this darn paint and still nothing that makes me feel special. I am thinking of going with black and saying forget it. COVER ALL SPOTS AND LEAVE IT BE. (I am not for real)... I guess I will keep this and move forward. If I keep it, I am painting it tomorrow MYSELF.

*Hubby didnt like the green, but I think he knows I like it so now he likes it. He is gonna paint for me he said on Monday. He probably doesnt want me messing anything up.

PAINT ROUND 2

What am I to do? I want to scream, and I mean loud. I want to find a color I love and move on with it. I got 2 more samples today and they turned out blue, which I didnt want. That was suppose to be grey! The other was green. I like the green but I think its to dark. I dont know ladies, I am just tired. WHATEVER PAINT!

PURPLE REIGNS

I love the color purple. This color is not a fad at all for me. There are so many ways to use it, but careful is the word unless you want to look like the set of Purple Rain. I threw my son and I in here just for fun. The clutch is of course Rebecca Minkoff. Its called the Rendezvous Clutch, retail $375.00

Introducing my GLAM ROOM/OFFICE in progress

This is my new project. It is the glam room. I am pulling from all things bling and old Hollywood. I have black and white photos of Marilyn Monroe and Diana Ross. I have frames that are blinged out, and mirrored items. My design issue is the color of the wall, and panels. I also need a rug and cant figure it out. I am hoping to get some help from a wonderful blogger who does these great idea boards for only $10.00! You can beat that. Check her blog out.
