My Holiday Wish List 2010

wish

The above are a few of the items that are on my wish list. I have ordered the books, and have two. Just waiting on one. The others are really wishes, and hopes.

I love the look of this IPAD case. I have yet to case my IPAD because I want the perfect one that makes me happy. No basic black for this girl. I want something that says, GET IT GIRL! The GAP trousers to me are simple, but the cropped leg gives it that extra something and allows for a great shoe. I have wanted a deer head for a while, and I think the one Z Gallerie has is the perfect size. On the art. I love the turquoise of the Miami piece, but the love of the Dallas one. I have watched those sheets, and watched those sheets. Something about a grey stripe on a bed says style. I am a HUGE fan of Jay Z for many reasons. I bore you guys with the details. But I will say that the epilogue is great with mentions of Oprah. She gave his book away as a favorite thing the other day, and mentioned that she was closed minded when it came to hip hop which a lot of people are. This book offers great  insight from one of the best. Who doesn’t like some Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim? I am ready to see exactly what this book is all about. The ELLEMENTS of Personal Style is by far one of my favorite books of the year. There is insight into the home of 25 celebrities. Of my favorite are Tracee Ellis Ross, Dita Von Teese, and Fatima Robinson. The reader gets to view photos of their home, and personal style items. It’s a must have for any woman that loves décor, and fashion. Seriously. I hope to work on a giveaway for this book. I love it so.

The crossed fingers are just that. I cross my fingers, pray, and think…all things great for me, and my dreams of living and doing what I love. Life is short. Enjoy it.

My Favorite ISH: Tami

Tami over at Middle Rageously sent her photos for the MY FAVORITE ISH post.
She has great style, and I love the vintage flavor of her items.
Dont forget to read her notes at the end.

Notes From Tami

Highlights:
-I love art and have art everywhere in my home
-the chairs around the dining room table and the lamp (for which I didn't like the shade) were handmade in Morocco.
- the mid century chairs with silver bases around the dinning table are thrift store finds ($9 each!)
- my long picture in the dinning room is from Jamaica the other part of my heritage. love the color and got a great bargain on it in JA because I wouldn't let him charge me like an American. LOL
- the guitar on the wall is from an art cooperative in Atlanta that works with urban youth. The kids make everything then they sell their items for the center
-my favorite piece in the dining room is my buffet. It is an antique cabinet from Indonesia that I purchased from a store called Ruff n-Ready. I loveeeeee It! I'm going to turn it into a base kitchen cabinet in the spring for my new kitchen with a drop in sink and stove top with a concrete or glass counter top. stay tuned!
-the chair came with the living room set
-the hanging over the fireplace came from a trip to Guatemala
- the picture is an acquisition I made a few weeks ago at a yard sale for $10!
- the man on the floor was my fathers and he always looked so big when I was a kid so when he passed I took it. He said he brought it back from Vietnam...hmmm. I don't know if it is true but nice story.

Thanks Tami for participating!

Favorite ISH: India

Last week I had did a post asking readers to send photos of their favorite "ISH". Indiaof Urban Curlz sent these fabulous pictures of her daughters room. I love the pink, and black. Very in order, and ultra chic glam. Peep out the black chairs, headboard, and comforter set. Any girl would love this room.

Notes from India:
I was going for a more grown up
look for my daughter who's turning 16. I incorporated French boudoir pieces, but I did not want to go overboard since she is a teen. I completed the whole look with less than $ 1200
Comforter and headboard from JCPenney home. The wire dress form from Amazon.com. The chairs from Ross. I hand painted the dressers and replaced the hardware with pieces from Target.
Thank India!
If you would like to be considered for the feature, please email me. Remember,
its not limited to just home interior. I want to see your favorite ISH.
Definition of ISH: "stuff" for a lack of better words.
