TASHICA MORGAN, TASHICA MORGAN

Man oh Man...I have been cheering for Tashica. Day one it seemed like she was taking names and gonna cash some checks...But her work has not done that for me, the audience..or the judges just yet. If you have been following the show, this Sunday she applied green apples to the white walls, used black paint, and used a design that had been used before on this very show. When they showed close ups of her work, the paint lines were not straight and they were messy, and the apples were not even. It was bad, hell I felt bad for her. The word that Genevieve Gorder used for the paint was "RAGGY". 3 weeks in a row they have kept her, and she still has not BRUNG THE HEAT. They called her work this week safe, but safe wont get you a win. I know some readers commented about her on another post..What do yall think is going on here? I so want the best for her, for all of them...But where is the talent that got her on the show? Her fashion style is fierce..But I am watching the show for home design, not clothes! Dan is a front runner for sure, his design was boasted by Vern Yip as "The single most well executed, most well thought out response to the white room challenge". Let them bring design! We are watching....We are watching.

Dont forget. You can also vote online for Tashica, or your favorite designer for their own online show by clicking here.

She will not make it in the top selects...unless she does something drastic. And quick!

I agree with you, T! I want to like her designs, but it's just not happening!

I think she may just be a decorator and not a designer. People don't realize that there is a difference. I can decorate a room, but I doubt that I can DESIGN one! It takes skills and frankly she is not doing it for me. I'm tired of them keeping her on there!

So far she is all bark, and no bite. It turned me off how she was taking names and checking everyone's credentials in the first episode. If you're going to be so bold, make sure you have the goods to back it up. Sometimes silence is golden!

I thought the same thing! When she first came on the screen I thought what an adorable little spit fire! She's going to rock this.

Uhhh...not so much. Her ideas are just so so and her execution is abominable. I was so disappointed. I really though we'd see more.

I'm really thinking It's going to be either the deconstructed orchard guy, Dan Vickery or the milk drip guy Nathan for the win. Maybe Torie the blond from Texas.

Yes I been following the show, and I want so much for her to win BUT I believe her problem is she tends to overthink everything. She talk sure game and look like she can pull it off BUT looking and talking is not enough its just not happening. She has no originality, the point of Design Star is to stand out and she just does not have that what we would call "WOW FACTOR" she seriously needs to step up her game ASAP. Maybe she is struggling because of the time she has to do a project on this show. Sometimes I question HOW, WHEN, and WHY she is even on this show. And I totally agree with L.Duncan she may just be a decorator. Anybody can decorate but everybody can't be an designer. Interior Design and Interior Decorating is not the same and I think if people like her realize that, they would analyze what they are capable of doing. Overall I wish her the best, I don't want to bash her I'm speaking from my point of view, but I hope she step it up ASAP because right now at this point of time I can not see her as the design star. AT ALL!!!!

I disagree with the above comments about decorator vs designer. I agree there is a difference between the 2 fields but didn't Kim Myles win season 2. She is NOT a designer. As a matter of fact, she was a hair stylist. I know PLENTY of "decorators" who can out do a "designer" with their eyes closed. It has to do with SKILLS. I agree she talked so much in the beginning we thought she was going to bring it. Hopefully, she will step it up.

You are right, her style is FIERCE! I was so set to looove her. But good lord! I can do better design, and I'm just a suburban DIY-er.

I was beyond peeved when they tossed Amy over her. I was glad to see her go this week..

..and I did love her dress at the end of the show. Too cute.
