Finally..A Few Pictures

I still have been unable to get my computer to recognize my Nikon D3000, or the card reader that I just bought, so its my computer with the problems here. I think I am up for an Apple Mac now. But anyway...I used my old Nikon to upload since the computer and it are friends, and placed the new memory card in it, and BAM. I will admit, it takes damn good pictures. I bought a new lens as well. The 55-200 is banging baby! What other lenses do you camera peeps recommend?

I bought this lamp this weekend at Homegoods. I love it. Very modern. I think I have to many trinkets going on in my office. I need a bookshelf so that it doesn't look so cluttered.
The boxes I wanted so bad. Z Gallerie had them for $29.95, and I left them there. I went to Homegoods and found them for $19.99 each. What a savings huh?

Here is my vintage typewriter. I love it.

I love Home Goods. Unfortunately, there isn't one very close by, but it's definitely worth the road trip to get to one.

Great finds.

Congratulations on your new camera. I love my camera. I had to stop taking it everywhere it was killing the straps on my bags.

This is one of my favorite lenses Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens. Great for portraits

i've fallen in love with prime lenses (prime=no zoom). they are super fast to focus, usually much sharper than a zoom and you can get wonderful bokeh! Like My above - I suggest the 50/1.8 for $150 it's a wonderful lens and a great first lens to have. i've heard SUPER things about the 24-70/2.8 though i haven't used it the pics i've seen from it = fantastic. it costs an arm & leg though!

it really depends on what you're going to be shooting, how u like to shoot and how serious/much investing you're gonna do with the photography. i find myself longing for a wide angle prime - like a 28mm or 24mm and also a 35mm.

May I suggest a Mac as well. I purchased an iMac two years ago...And I'm still in love with it. I am saving for a Macbook next, I have completely abandoned Windows!
