I think even as a child, I loved desk items. My aunt even ordered me a bulk pack of sticky notes with my full name on them in an acrylic cube. I was so happy at the age of 9 to have something like that to "play" with. I always enjoyed playing boss, and teacher. One of my favorite things to play was school, and I am surprised I didn't want to be a teacher when I got older. I guess having kids, and volunteering at my daughters school for 2 years kinda got that out of me (smile). But at any rate...I still enjoy having fun, cute, artsy things on my desk that make me smile. If only my desk was huge enough for a ton of stuff! I have tons of space at work though, but I use the space there with frames/pictures of my family as a reminder of why I am there when I am having one of those "days".
