Looks like a great film, I'm gonna need to catch that when home at Christmas. Thanks for posting the clip.
I really want to see this movie. Usually, movies of this kind have me depressed for a while afterwards because of what I've been thru when I was younger, but I just have to see this one. I know that there are girls that really go thru these things and that's what hurts the most. One reason why I'm excited about this movie is because it seems like its Oscar material and that is great!
I can't wait for this! this looks AMAZING! I'm bringing a bucketload of tissues and all my girlfriends! Between this and Good Hair-finally something for/and by black people that isn't a bunch of silliness!
Can't wait! (thanks for reading my blog btw-I added you to my blog roll!

I cried the first time I saw the trailer so I know I'm going to be a mess when I see the movie. For me it's going to be a tough one to watch but I feel like the story is too important to not see it.
I've read Push which the movie is based upon and can't wait to see this film! Critics are already saying that Monique's performance is Oscar worthy.
Simply Remarkable!
Great post Tam! Can't wait to see the movie!!
I saw the preview for "Precious" and it will definitely be a tearjerker!
I will definitely be seeing this one. I saw previews when I went to see "I can do bad all by myself". I can tell this one is going to be a tearjerker but really good.
I have been seeing that on Oprah....and now I am soo bummed it isn't showing down here in Tampa! It looks AMAZING!!!! Hope it comes out on DVD soon!
I was able to score a ticket to the premiere of Precious when it screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last weekend. Oprah attended as did Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels, Saphire, the actress who plays Precious, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, and a slew of other celebrities.
I gave my ticket to my sister - since she is a much bigger Oprah fan than I - and she said the movie was VERY well done but VERY emotionally heavy.
I can't wait to see it when it's released.
This film looks great. I like movies like this that portray real issues that people can relate to. That Mary J. track sounds good too. Can't wait! Thanks for posting, thru ur blog is when I first heard about the film. I'll be catching it when it comes to Philly!

That movie is going to be great - and I think it will rake 'em in at awards time! Have you read the book it is based on (Push By Sapphire)? It is really intense....

Oh my God...I have known that this movie was coming out for a minute. I read this book in college, and my friend/previous classmate and myself always talk about how you actually had to PUSH yourself to get through the book--we also discussed this in class. It was THE MOST depressing book I have ever read. I actually rememeber a sense of doom and gloom coming over me when it was time to pick it up again. I plan on seeing the movie, though--it's just so sad.
This looks like it is going to be a very powerful movie. Wow!
I'm a constant lurker here so first I must say I love your blog! But I read the novel and can't wait for the movie to come out. Thanks for the clip. I'm going to FB it!
I am looking forward to seeing this film...the minute I saw the previews.
It was so heartbreaking, I am sure I will be crying throughout this film. Reminds me alot of the 2 years I spent living in the Bronx with my mom, and siblings...very tough time for us.
