Why do you have the blues??? Have you thought about roman shades or bamboo blinds? They're another good option if the drapes don't work out.

Are those 2" wood blinds? Just remember how you want your room to feel...light and airy choose light material...more moody go with a heavier fabric. When you find great hardware, your curtains/drapes it will be easy…

I have a window in my living room made like this and I took my drapes above that half circle window part.
