No, Nada, Uhh uhh…

Well I decided to try out the chevron on canvas before hitting a wall in the house. I am going to be honest…I don't get off on the whole measuring system..as you can see this project was BAD. I mean…pissed me off bad. I was so ticked, I didn't want to finish, and really didn't care any longer. So SAD.

Oh well, at least you tried it on a canvas before you did the ceiling! Thanks for keeping it real! :)

Girl... This is EXACTLY why I'm scared to do the stripes in the boys room. But at least you tried!

I think the ceiling would be super hard to do!!

But since you already tired doing the chevron stripes on the canvas, go back and re do it and still use it as art.

Yeah, that would make an interesting art piece for a wall somewhere? Nothing beats a failure but a trier!! And you, my sister TRY! There's no denying THAT! Love Ya!

OMG....LMAO, that would be me jacking up the pattern trying to eyeball it,(without measuring). At least you know your strengths and weaknesses. I'm sure the paint and light fixture would be FAB!

No one gets it right on the first try...I love the idea and I think you should try it again.

tee hee. My bathroom is a hot mess (for years now) because I didn't want to tape right. I feel your pain.

at least you were smart enough to try it on canvas before spending time on the ceiling! i never even thought of testing it that way. anyhow, i think the solid bright color will look fab!

This post cracked me up! It's so me :) maybe you should just call it "abstract chevron" and go with it. It might be the latest trend in the blogging world!

If you really give up, how about painting the canvas over and using it as artwork like this lady....

I'm with Andrea, don't give up, but let me give you one secret, measure out your tape, and make sure they are all the same length, and the link she gave you is a good one.

Tam,
you gave it your best shot. The whole thing can make or break a room if not done properly.

I saw something in Lowes that is suppose to assist you in doing this all so perfect.

your honest about it pissing you OFF!

I went into a gorgeous model home on the West Coast of Florida, and they had a wallcovering made of river rock on the tray ceiling and it looked amazing!!!! It had just a tad of shimmer and it was very elegant, yet edgy. I loved it.

I love that you keep it real. HA!!

I guarantee you, my attempt would have been much much worse.

HEY!! What about putting some wall paper up on that ceiling?! Do they sell chevron wallpaper?
