One look. And an opinion. I was playing around with pillows just to see what some color would look like in this room. Well I think it needs them ASAP!.
Thoughts?

Do you like bold colors? Is there a lot of light in that particular room?
My couch is similar in color and I have painted my two walls in my living room a brick red. Yes bold, but since I have a huge bay window, the room can handle it. My curtains on the bay window are a bit lighter than my couch and it works very well. Just a thought. I hope you find something that works. :)
I like the peacock pillows alot! They really brighten up of the sofa, hmm maybe only one white pillow and a bolster or mini lumbar pillow in the center of the sofa?
I also agree with Noelle, maybe a new wall color is what your seeking?
Hi,
I am glad I stumbled upon your blog. You have a great sense of style and positive attitude. I am a new blogger and your tips for beginners are valuable. Thank you.

I would like to see some pattern on the walls. Maybe a glaze effect or wallpaper? Maybe it's texture that's missing and not color?
And I really love the room!!
I agree with one of the comments.. why not try a wall paper? We have seen you do a few posts on paint, time to step it up a notch and travel outside the box. However, i think the blue pillows really add a color pop to the room, maybe you should play off of it.
Some orange/coral pillows with your peacock pillows would look purrty!
You know I "loves" me some turquoise. Love the first pillows better than the stripes.
I hear y'all...but I really am not a wall paper chick...I would rather mess up with paint. I'm ok with my walls. Once I get panels up that will add color as well...it just me trying to pick a color. My next post will be long explain the problem I am having here.
I'm hearing you. I tried to do a grey room like I am seeing all over the internet but in my heart I am a color evangelist. I gotta have a bit of color. I'm feeling the pillows. The room is stunning btw.

the size of the chevron stripe pillow would be ideal. I don't really care for the liberty of london pillows probably because they look "cheap" to me. The color though is great. I see where you're trying to go with the space. Maybe get some of the fun pillows found on etsy that uses some more designer fabrics. And no, I'm not talking about the expensive ones! The table and the sofa says "high style" and I think that everything else should too!
I hope I make sense.
I really love the blues and peaches together. It's almost as if anything goes, nowdays.
Have a great day

Hi Tam-
You have a great "mixed" style in this room. Love the turqouise in contract to the orange flowers on the table. Where is that table from anyway? I LOVE it!
~Rachel~
Peacock pillows - yes, cotton feed sack pillows - no!
Bottom line...color - yes!
I would also lower the mirror some (hang closer to couch a little more) and switch the books on the coffee table; but ones on second shelf on top of table and the ones currently showing on top on second shelve. Also, I would remove empty vase from coffee table and place it somewhere else in room. Keep vase with orange flowers. I agree with L. Duncan on pillow style. I like the color of the peacock pillows and the style of the striped ones. Make sense? JMHO.
I like color. I think this room could def. use those pillows. I"m no designer so my opinion doesn't count. :)
Honestly I love the color of those orange flowers. They won't last forever :o( so maybe you could find something with that color too? Otherwise I really like your choices!
FABULOUS BABY!! Don't move them! I don't care what anyone says they look that damn good.... side not im kicking myself... biglots had those stands in white for 20.00 i eyed them 2 times wanting them but not needing them and they were gone... wth???? ugh i wanted to die... i go in marshalls and they had the same ones for more money... screw that im going to buy it anywah.. TTYL
I love the Chevron print. Gives nice pops of color, but still very crisp. In line with the rest of the room.
Wow...you have some beautiful things to work with. The couch, mirror and coffee table are gorgeous! I agree that you need some color. I'm not crazy about the style of the peacock pillow but I definately love the color it brings to the room. Good luck!

are the peacock pillows Liberty of London from Target? they look great!!
I love the peacock blue in there maybe add some orange ones too. And that metallic garden stool is the best one I've ever seen !
I'm thinking...
peacock pillows...
and I'm thinking all of the colors in peacock feathers...
and I'm thinking that couch is like a peacock...proud and grand...
I say you analyze peacock feathers and incorporate more of those colors into that space...
and as far as adding color... the pops in the pillows are fine... even the plant on the table don't do too much... remeber less is more and I love the nuetralness (is that a word? it is now lol) Very comfortable and stylish... People lose focus when they try to do too much! I'm with you on the wall paper... the walls are fine... But it's your decision at the end of the day. I'm sure whatever you decide will be SIMPLY FABULOUS...
O BTW Check out my Blog... Im featuring you in my she's simply fabulous segment!
PEACOCK ALL THE WAY! I went to get some-they were out! :( I LOVE all things peacock! Lovin how the room is coming together! Where did you get the hourglass? I bought Josiah one for his room from CB2 but it's really tiny-I was hoping for bigger. But he loves it! haha Tells me. "Moooom, I'm takin a time out!" hehe
The room is coming along I see, but there are a few tweaks,
1) I would lower the mirror sunburst, and add a few pics on either side of it.
2) the bamboo ladder, seems out of place since the sofa and the beautiful coffee table have such a strong presence in the room
3) I would find another place for the garden stool, unless its just a "placeholder" until you find end tables.
3) the pillows in the front don't seem to flow, maybe if they are a little more substantial.
Maybe larger scale pieces instead of a lot of little things, you have the wall space for it...go for the gusto with some larger things for this space.
Chevron seems to be everywhere.
