Houston, we don’t have a problem

We were in Houston this weekend (and won a tournament by the way), and happen to “just stop by” IKEA. Their IKEA seems to have a lot of things that mine doesn't. I love the HUGE photos that they have of city skylines. I usually go with all things NY, but they didn't have anything this time. I glanced over and this photo of Los Angeles that knocked me out. I love it. All black and white, with a touch of color on the highways. This will almost take up a whole wall, which makes this GET IT GIRL HAPPPPY!

I had to pick up some fabric. This was on sale for only $3.99 a yard! Turquoise stripes = yummy!

I love this fabric. I was told it was new. Only $5.99 a yard

Isn't that fabric fab now that you have seen it pulled out. I am in love, and sad that i didn't get more.

Did you get anything fab, Build something, Finish up on a project? I would love to know.

Sounds like a GREAT weekend! Congrats on winning the tournament!

Love the skyline print! Oh if only I had the walls!!

I did not finish any "projects" but did get 3, count them, THREE garden stools at Big Lots for $20 each!! One white and two dark red/burgandy. White one is sitting in garden and the other two are on the patios! Great deal and cute too! Next to finishing planting colorful patio flowers.....

First of all I just read that your name is "TAMARA" and that's one of my FAVORITE NAMES!!! I thought of it for my Son!
Second--ohhh boy...I lost my Nana about 2 years ago and somedays I still can't believe--or really wrap my head around the reality that she's gone...she was ALWAYS there for me! Even when I got pregnant with a "biracial" child--she overcame her "GENERATIONAL" prejudices and her and my Son had the most wonderful special bond! I always listen to Janet Jackson's Together Again or Mariah's "BYE-BYE" and think of my dear sweet smart beautiful NANA!!! Thanks for sharing your post/memories of your Grannie with the BIG PERSONALITY...hmmm...you remind me of her! :)

Your finds were WONDERFUL! i have an affinity for city skylines too but in puzzle form ;). I complete the puzzles, glue them together, then frame them. Makes for wonderful, inexpensive decor...

This weekend's completed project:
*Painted accent walls in living room an orange/coral mix.
*Bought some old wooden frames from Goodwill, sray painted them bright colors, and will take my Nikon D40 out on a field trip to fill them.

I am so excited and draw much inspiration from your blogs!

Absolutely love the graffiti fabric. Definitely great for a chair. Still working on the overall look of my office, finishing up my event planning website and still working on my bedroom.

love that last fabric...I need to make some earrings from it!
Yep check them out on FB when you get back there.

The NY pics are ALWAYS my favorite. I so miss Brooklyn but what can I do? My Hubby made it clear WE WILL not BE MOVING THERE!
Guess I better get a plane ticket...
You find everything we all need. What is wrong with our eyes that we don't "C" the goodies.....
Blessings.
