A little black and a message

All done. At least for now. I love the black pulls. I think it makes the piece more edgy. So as of now, this dresser is complete. I did a great job I think. The paint looks smooth, and the poly has this dresser shining like it was covered in Vaseline. I applied two coats.

Stay tuned…I am having major fun with this room. I realized that this room does not have to be to serious. She (my daughter) is still a child. It's meant to be fun, young, and stylish.

XOXOX,

I love it. So when are you going to come and decorate my house? :)

What is your secret for painting? I used the Heirloom white spray like you used on your last dresser project and I don't think it came out even at all. Back to square one. I even bought the attachment to put on the spray can and it made it worse...ugh.

Can't wait to see the finished look! Such a fresh palette!

This looks great! I am thinking about how to do my stepdaugther's room. She wants purple and black. We are thinking more lavendar with black accents. A friend and I were brainstorming on Friday and thought of doing lavender with a band in the middle of the wall. We also looked at some of the stencil wording. We found a cute girlie comforter on jcpenny.com, but we are still thinking:) You are an inspiration!

Oooh Weee..the dresser looks like it just came out of a candy wrapper!! And I DO luv the black drawer pulls. But dang, that dresser can give candy coated rides a run for the money! I love how it is coming along so far.

My daughter has the same butterflies in her room :o) I agree that a kids room has to be fun.

I have this same exact dresser, but I painted mine pink. It was first ever DIY project. How did you get it to be so shiny?
