WACK!

Well it came, and I want it gone. If you follow, you might recall that I ordered this back in November. I was so excited to get this chandy, and was told for months to wait. Well I came home Tuesday to a box. I had no clue it was coming. I ordered it from Quality Bath. I wont order from them again, and I don't recommend them at all. On a scale of 1-10 in my service book, they were given a 1. And I give them a 1 just because I’m nice.

The damn thing came with broken pieces, and even wrapped for days in all that trash that you see in the other photo. One policy stated that you are to open the package in front of the delivery person. Inspect it, and go from there. I wish I would have asked a delivery guy to wait as I did all of that. He would look at me like I was crazy! It took me over 45 mins.

I like to think I am pretty handy. I can put up lights, but this was one that had the cord attached that you also plug into an outlet. I have never seen that before?? Hell I want it in the ceiling, and there is no outlet up there. I don’t get it..I just think the item on the site was not represented accurately.

I want all this mess GONE!

I won't be ordering from this vendor!!! The photo of the fixture is gorgeous so I can see how you would have been so excited to receive it.

Geeezzz, that sucks. They obviously don't care at the company much about anything. Especially sending a chandelier there shouldn't be any broken pieces. It looked beautiful in the picture but woa.

You could convert the plug-in cord to a hardwire cord, so you can install it in your ceiling - If that's what you were talking about? You could cut the cord and get some parts from Lowe's (ask the workers - I can't think of the terms right now) and then voila you have a ceiling light! I hope you can make it work, because it does really look pretty in the picture!

WOW, that's why most times I don't order things such as this online. I have to be able to see it, touch it the whole nine. I hate that you were disappointed, because it looks so pretty in the picture.

You know what? With a powerful blog such as yours, this bad press is not good for them. Disappointing.

Oh my god, I would be so pissed. You should send an email to the vendor...along with a picture of how it was packaged!

I hate bad online stores. I've wanted that light for awhile, but I was planning to buy it at LightingUniverse.com. Switching it to a hard-wired light is not that hard, just cut the end off. The cord will probably be two wires molded together, one for the black and one for the white wire. You will need to purchase the 'bar' that holds the fixture to the ceiling, wire nuts, screws, and a chrome canopy that matches the fixture. What a bummer that you didn't know it was plug in!

i would totally send it back. i have to tell you, aftere seeing that light, you are going to freak out after i tell you this. i bought the exact same light, only in a sepia or amber toned glass for my chocolate shop a couple of years ago. i bought it at home depot, if you don't see it hanging in their lighting aisle, ask to see their lighting book. they have an entire book of lighting options that aren't on the floor but that you can order from. i still have it and now that my shop is closed (for now anyway) i installed in above my kitchen table. it looks awesome. i even put in an amber colored bulb so it's super soft lighting. check out home depot and see what you find...let me know!

This is the worst, I'm so annoyed for you, I know you been wanting this light forever and it ends up being broken. My only positive suggesstion is hardwaire a light fixture where you want the light at....

dispute the purchase with your credit card company. your purchases are usually insured. get that thing out of your beautiful house.

Ok you should phone the corp office (and it took them 4ever to send this out) and show them the pictures of the Catastrophe!!!
This is not acceptable.

They should pay for the shipping, pain, and headache that they have caused you.

Not happy and thanks for the post!

I was excited about seeing this lamp hanging fiercely from the room!

Dang it sure has been that long!! It would def. go back, but I'm sure you already packed it up and sent it on it's way. Any other lights you've been eyeing?

Kwana said...

Oh no! What a mess. And as if the deliver guy would wait. I'm sorry for you. Have you sent it back?

KiWi said...

I'm glad you are sending it back. I have that same fixture in my guest bedroom and it doesn't nearly come close to letting off enough light in the room. It's more of a pendant rather than a chandelier, I will be replacing it soon.
