Modern Dining

It is time for a new spot in the Styles household. The eatery section of our house needs a change so bad. We had the same furniture from when my daughter was 1. So yall know its old. Actually as I recall my Granny bought it for me from Pier 1. When my son was born, and he started walking (HE WALKED AT 6 1/2 MONTHS) he would walk over to the legs and eat the rattan like material at the base of each chair. Just bad. I wish I could find the photo of him doing it because I have one somewhere. But this is what I am looking for in style. Simple and clean. I am not sure which color table yet, but there are I believe 3 or 4 colors. Hubby said no to white, so that only leaves walnut, and I think chocolate. We shall see.

I like dark simple walnut tables like the one your thinking - depending on how long the table is two pendants would look really good!! love a large pendant shade can nver go wrong there

I have always wanted some Eames chairs around a dining table, so your plan definitely gets my vote.

I love the look of the eames chairs but are they comfy?

those are the same eames shell chairs i have on my list for my dining nook (which is currently chair-less) and are currently the last piece of 'furniture' i really need in my apartment. keeping my eyes out for a good deal on craigslist but if not i've seen affordable replicas that are pretty close...

nice choice!

I love that look. Totally my kind of style and exactly what I would do in my house.

My vote is for the walnut table and double up on the pendants depending on how long the table is. I do like the Eames chairs, though they can be quite pricey! One thing for sure they will hold their value.

Your story about your son reminds me when Ava would run her teeth up and down the side of her crib. I starting to think she was part woodchuck!

Love it, but as for the lamp, I would love to see a little more "bling" - as much as I love drum shades, I could see something with sparkle! (besides you sitting at the head of the table!)
