Right on TASK

I am on my way to building the dining/breakfast nook. I started with these chairs, as pictured in my inspiration photos. I purchased them from Overstock, and my review is that they are actually alright with me. You get two chairs for under $165. So far my kids have not wasted anything on them that will stain them, leaned back in them to break them, or stand up in them to test them.

So as you see I am right on target with my board. These are actually more handy than I thought because it gives me a guide. I will be honest that I never really found these handy, but since I am a recipient of my own board…my attitude has changed.

No I am also going back and forth with a color for the walls. If you have read my tweets you know that I have been getting tons of paint samples. At this moment I have 19 colors on the wall. Stay tuned for that. But one color is grant beige which I finally got to see in eggshell and LOVE IT. But do I want to go beige, or more gray?

To be honest I am so in love with gray right now, and I may end up going with a gray. My husband think our sons room being gray is enough, but I AM THE WIFE (shhh). Keep in mind that I am adding the mid century credenza to the den which is right next to the breakfast nook/dining area so they have to flow.

Girl, I'm so in love with gray right now too! I always thought it was a boring color but not anymore, I love it!! And those chairs you bought? Great finds! If the kids can't break, stain or ruin them, you made a GREAT purchase in my book! ;-)

We must think alike. I've painted the majority of my interior gray. It's a nice neutral color and seems to go with everything.

Hi -- I just wanted to vote for Grant Beige! I have it in my living and dining rooms and hallway and LOVE IT. It looks a little gray in natural light and I definitely think it would play nice with a taupe-gray trim or accents somewhere. Good luck choosing!
