I have seen projects such as these around, and was a tad bit bored the other day and went for it. This is the EASIEST DIY EVER! I have some bottles in a window that I have had since like 1999. I use to be a pretty big bottle collector when we first moved in together. Anyway. The Benjamin Moore, Behr, and Glidden paint samples are all from our room. Mostly are shades of blues (good idea just popped up), but a few were in there to play with in other colors. Below is a tutorial based on the steps that my son and I took.
I really think these turned out lovely. Can you imagine the color potential for these if you had some fab colors to work with? If I had a white book shelf, I would be having the time of my life with bottles and paint. The final results are not staying in this room, but merely a way to display them for you guys. Hope you try it to.

That is a very cute idea! My mom has some old lemonade bottles that I was trying to figure out how to repurpose.

the blue is nice. How about I bought some from ross for 3.00 bucks but they were black and I put them above the cabinets.
