I remember when I started out as a new blogger, and I was new to the world of blogging. There were bloggers that would not give me the time of day. So I have decided to add a new reoccurring feature where I highlight new like blogs. All I ask is that your blog show that you are trying to make your blog stand out. Regular posts, and if possible something more than the generic banner. Your banner is the first thing people see, and says a lot. At any rate, I am looking forward to this! I get emails from new bloggers pretty often, and this is my way of high fiving you guys, and welcoming you to the club!

ooohhh...ain't that the truth...how there are some bloggers that don't give you the time of day. i love the blogging community so i don't get those few. sad. this is nice that you're doing this. xoxo
I LOVE this new feature! as a new blogger I can totally relate to some bloggers with a plethura of followers not giving the little people the time of day. And Ive also known a few that have been great readers and have given great responses but once they move on to bigger and better things they disappear. I can't wait to read about other new bloggers like myself!

It can be hard. I get blogger hate sometimes. But I enjoy what I do and enjoy those who enjoy what I do.

Me too! I've been snobbed off and ignored by many bloggers I'm guessing my editorial skillz are not up to par or my crude humor is too much? No clue I'm just trying to keep it real but I am definitely grateful for the few followers I have.

I remember the days as a new blogger too, but now that I've been at it a few years, there are TONS of newbies out there that it is SO hard to catch up with them all. I try to do my part to welcome them into blogging by reaching out with comments, but even then I fail so often. It's a big blogworld & everyone should feel welcome.

@Laila- Hey..thanks for those words. No I am not just featuring design blogs. Just "like" blogs. Meaning...non technology blogs, or blogs about space. I have no clue on those things. You see what I mean? But if I ran across a man or woman doing their thing and it caught my eye. I would not move away from it.

So great of you to do this. I'm relatively new (9 months) and it gets frustrating trying to get noticed by the bigger more popular blogs. Good to know someone is out there to help the little people. : )

Man I needed this. I am new to the blogging world and LAWD knows its hard to get some recognition around here. My blog consist mostly of fashion and starting my own online boutique. I know it's a LOT of bloggers out there but can I get some love back? LOL. I swing buy as many blogs as I can and leave detailed comments not 5 words. Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep steady readership? I promise I'm all ears.
Blogging is difficult. It's one thing to attract readers with a great post, but then the pressure is on to continually keep your followers informed and entertained. I personally find it difficult because I have such a niche blog (soap making). While the bulk of my readers are also soap makers, I have a few who love handmade bath and body products and just love to see what I'm up to. My motto is keep your content fresh, engage your readers by soliciting their thoughts and opinions, and don't always make it all about you...
