“Free” Pop Of Color

Ever want to add a pop of color to a room either free, or for a few bucks?

Me to. I decided to hunt through all the books in my home that had the color scheme I wanted to make it work. I am not a fan of book jackets, so I removed them and used the books at their best throughout the space. I recommend throwing your book jackets away, or put them in a storage area for a later date unless the jackets design is beautiful.

When I go grocery shopping, I always look for flowers that are bursting with color. I usually purchase white flowers for fall/winter. Don’t let not having a vase stop you from buying flowers. When I was younger, I fell victim to that. Look in your cabinet, and use a glass. I have several vases now, but I like this look better to be honest.  Those are the types of touches that give your space that eclectic vibe, which should look effortless & organic.

The books are green, blue, and one mauve/purplish/gray colored. They all flow, and work great together. Not to mention they are great books. Some people don’t believe in purchasing books if you don’t read them. Not me. Sorry. I say, go to your local Half Price Books, or where ever bargain books are sold, and look for COLORED BOOKS.

And don’t forget about these Penguin Classic beauties that are still being sold. One look is glam with the gold/silver, while the other is more colorful, eclectic & traditional.

This one is so simple that I am going to try it and send you pictures. Because of your blog, I am going to add a few touches to my living room. My living room is Chocolate Brown, Green & Tan. I need a plash of color such as Yellows, Reds or Oranges. Something that stands out. I am looking for the Classy vibe. Thanks for sharing.
