Wood Boring What?

Sorry for the lack of Mr. Styles’ project updates. The last time we left off he was working on the wood that he found. He spent hours and hours working on this, and a few quarts of epoxy which has made the wood BEAUTIFUL.

Well it could all be thrown out…after all his hard work. I feel so bad, really I do. Not to mention the MONEY he spent on this thing. There seems to be an infestation inside of wood boring beetles. I had never heard of them, but after I saw it I had to know what it was. Thank goodness for Google. I want NO PARTS of this creature in my home. So he and his larvae has to go. They eat through wood, and epoxy it seems. But they seem to die after a few days outside the wood, per Google. I cant wait, and I don’t want to see. I posted on FB a few weeks back that Mr. Styles hit his head, and damaged the car door. Well we owe it to this ugly mug below. He is not as tiny as a normal beetle, so don’t get him confused. Anything that looks like this AND eats through WOOD, is not a friend of mine.

Never the less, I want you guys to see how the epoxy hardened in case you are wanting to do a project on your own using it. Stay tuned for them tomorrow.

Have you ever encountered these?

High Fives & Hugs,

Tamara

even if you were able to burn the beetles out, you still couldn't "see" this piece in the house, to creepy.
