Lofty

I realized I had not shared my sons room since I had his floors stained. Last night he cleaned it up, came to get me, held me by the hand and covered my eyes, and told me not to open until he said so. Funny how kids like to SURPRISE their parents with a clean room.

loft1 I am still hanging things, putting the finishing touches on this newly stained desk. Well not so new, I just forgot to post it. Sorry folks!

He is a TOTAL athlete as I have posted about on here before, so his room has to incorporate his love of sports, and games. But also the colors had to be BOY easy if you know what I mean, and something I could change up if need be for him. I am realistic when it comes to my kids rooms. I still let them be kids, and not try to take over 100% with a vision that I have.

IKEA Panels worked great. I ironed the creases.  The panels go great with the linen ottoman placed on the side of the bed.

I changed out the plates just to give it that “lofty industrial feel”

Below are the frames I found on clearance at Target for dirt cheap. They will be perfect on this wall once I have some action shots of him blown up to super size, as well as mount a TV to the wall. It should all flow is the way I vision it.

Things to finish off the space:

  • light fixture
  • flat screen
  • photos in huge frames
  • new rug (he messed it up last week)
  • proper organization of his items
  • desk organization
  • lamp

Great idea - the colors are neutral and fits a loft feeling and an especially active growing young man..

His room is so cool! All sports and all boy!

This room can totally grow with him all the way until he start saying "Ma, stop hanging pictures in my room" (in his 16yr old voice)!

Man I have 3 boys in one room and the desk they have has the computer on it. I guess I need to invest in another one and it's about time to paint their walls again, they wanted Cavs blue and crimson. Can't wait to see your results.
