Here is my change. The color on the wall is Stonington Gray, by Benjamin Moore. We had our room painted the gold color when the house was built. I loved the color..THEN. But things have changed and we now require something more serene, and calming. Everyday is an easier rise when we look at this soothing color surrounding us.
There are something's missing from the room on the walls. I am not sure what my plan is surrounding what’s next so lets stay tuned in for now. However, there is one piece on the wall that you will see in the photos below that is new.
(ROOM IS NOT COMPLETE. STILL IN PROGRESS)
(I TOOK PHOTOS DURING DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY TO SHOW COLOR VARIATION)
What’s needed to complete this room?
- side tables
- lamps
- art work/mirror
- dresser redo
- lounge area for naps
- chair (another one)
- FLOORING
- panels
- pillows
- bedding
High Fives & Hugs,
Tamara Styles

I love your room color! It's very calm and relaxing. Good job! The grey rug is pretty as well.
my grey would have been waaayyyy too dark--i didn't realize that you meant something light! the new color looks great, and i can definitely imagine that it's more serene in the morning. painting is such a pain but totally worth it in the end!
Thats really gorgeous, who wouldn't want to wake up to that atmoshpere?
Wow!! I loved the room before but I love the grey even more.
I am a huge fan of grey. So this room is a favorite of mine. Is that a blue painting over there? If so it adds such an unexpected, yet pleasing pop of color. Change is good. I like the new paint color. How does Hubby feel about it?

Is that more of a blueish grey or does it have brown undertones? I've been looking for a grey with a hint of brown for our master bedroom.
I think some gold accents would really look great in the room. I love the mirror on the wall in the before pic, maybe that with a really brassy gold woudl look good?
Loving it!Hapt Valentine's Day!
soothing and serene are def the words to describe that! well done. i find gray so hard to pick. we have 3 diff grays in our house and one is too light and the others i wonder if they are more violet? you look like you got a good one!
I love this grey - you room looks great! It really makes your whole room appear larger and looks great with your bed frame
It reminded me of the grey we painted on our bedroom which feels nice and calming
I could definitely sleep here. Love the stripes ;) Happy Valentines day to you and your family!
I absolutely LOVE the gray! I love where you're going with your room. It looks so relaxing and calm, and just ... smooth. Beautiful : D
Very calming. Beautiful colour change. I actually eyed that grey recently on my Ben Moore fan deck as a potential colour for a project. I went with revere pewter instead. Also, thanks for popping by on Friday(i was super excited to 'see' you:-)).
;) My 5 yr old was watching over my shoulder and said-WOW I LOVE THAT ROOM! ;) A TV AND A BED-COOOOOL! haha It looks great girl
darn it! i hate to see it this way but i mos def luv it! it looks so calming.. xoxo..
love the peaceful look and also where did you put chair that was on the corner.
the color has hints of blue depending on the light. NO BROWNS. I went through hell trying to find the right color with no browns tones.
love the color change on the walls. i'm a huge fan of grey, especially in the bedroom. good job!
The bedframe is too beautiful! Where did you find it?
Stripes are HOT!!!

OMG! What a huge difference! What color are you choosing as an accent? Love your direction!
We have the same bed, how much do you love it? I slept on the same twin size mattress for 25 years and it took me two years to settle on a new one (not that decisive, obvi) Love at first sight when I saw it. I love your striped duvet, I have a pin-tucked one from west elm and I'm thinking about the chevron pattern from Aura. Looks great! :)
Wow, your home is GORGEOUS.
