Are there items you see at the stores that you want, but refuse to drop the dough for? I raise my hand. Of course this happens all the time to me, and I am sure you to. These are the rules that apply to me when I shop for clothes, thrifting, and any other stores that have just what I want. I follow these 5 rules in pursuit of what I want.
The Ikat pillows are from WE. I have wanted them for sometime, but I did not want to pay the price of $24 so I WAITED for them to drop to $8.49. The quilt, and shames are from Tarjay. I have wanted this set since it hit the stores. I loved it, and thought it was perfect for summer. However, I refused to pay $80 for the complete set. I followed my rules, and WAITED. I walked in one day and it was reduced to $55. Still to much. My last trip was Friday, and it was on clearance for $ 19. If we want a great deal. Sometimes we have to wait. Why pay full price, when patience will do. I saved myself $92.06.
* My only advice is when thrifting, there is no such thing as WAITING, unless they are willing to hold your items for you. Most pieces are in and out, so if you wait you lose.
On the décor end. I have paired together a “simple” quilt and shams set, and added a pop of color and pattern in yellow ikat. Now all I need are pillows (and an iron) to tie it all together. I love the direction this look is going.
So what do you think? Are you a WAIT’ER or a NOW’ER? Do you like the combination of yellow and blue?
CHIME IN.
