waiting on design

Are there items you see at the stores that you want, but refuse to drop the dough for? I raise my hand. Of course this happens all the time to me, and I am sure you to. These are the rules that apply to me when I shop for clothes, thrifting, and any other stores that have just what I want. I follow these 5 rules in pursuit of what I want.

ff

The Ikat pillows are from WE. I have wanted them for sometime, but I did not want to pay the price of $24 so I WAITED for them to drop to $8.49. The quilt, and shames are from Tarjay. I have wanted this set since it hit the stores. I loved it, and thought it was perfect for summer. However, I refused to pay $80 for the complete set. I followed my rules, and WAITED. I walked in one day and it was reduced to $55. Still to much. My last trip was Friday, and it was on clearance for $ 19. If we want a great deal. Sometimes we have to wait. Why pay full price, when patience will do. I saved myself $92.06.

* My only advice is when thrifting, there is no such thing as WAITING, unless they are willing to hold your items for you. Most pieces are in and out, so if you wait you lose.

On the décor end. I have paired together a “simple” quilt and shams set, and added a pop of color and pattern in yellow ikat. Now all I need are pillows (and an iron) to tie it all together. I love the direction this look is going.

So what do you think? Are you a WAIT’ER or a NOW’ER? Do you like the combination of yellow and blue?

I am a serious waiter...I have missed a few things but for the most part my refusal to pay full price makes me very patient.

I'm one of those that can wait as well. Love the color combination was well. I have some suggestions. It looks like you have a king size bed and you're using standard/queen size pillows due to the space in between also the Ikat pillows would look better if you place them in the back and the bed pillows in front

Love the yellow/blue combo.
I am so much better at being a WAIT'ER (proud of me)!

Oh yes I do have patience. I will wait and stalk something, especially shoes. ; )

I'm a waiter. It's something that I've learned over time, I use to be a serious impulse shopper.

i am learning to be more patient to score a deal. sometimes, if i fall in love with something, i worry that it won't be around if i wait. other times, i wait and realize i really don't want to spend my money on the item. patience is a good thing, but i'm still learning!

I am a perpetual waiter, I have been checking out the Reebok Zigtech shoes for a while, but refused to pay $100. I have been lurking and checking for sales, when all of a sudden they go on clearance and on top of that there's an additional 50% off all clearance items. I paid $40 plus tax for these babies. Love It!

I love the colors, yellow makes me happy. I'm a waiter but I also do most of my shopping online so I don't have to stalk. Most sites allow you to sign up for emails when your "liked" items go on sale.

Definitely good to get to know the associates. As far as patience, I'm still working on that one. But you're right -- a lot of times you will find what you want on sale.

Love the blue and yellow! By instinct I'm a NOW'er but my wallet makes me a WAIT'er lol
I scored the best deal when I bought my daughter's bedroom set from Target a few years ago, I waited almost a year for it to go on sale (at the price I wanted to pay) and I'm glad I did, she still loves it!
