Hey guys. Thanks so much to all of you that reached out after watching my segment on The Nate Berkus show. What an honor, and I still am so very excited! In case you missed it, here it is. I know photos of my home is nothing new to you guys since they are always on GIGS, but its great to show America that decorating on a budget, with time, and affordable pieces is possible.
When we first had our home built I was 24, and had no clue. Yeah we made choices regarding brick, counters, cabinets, etc.…but decorating was not at the top of my list. I think I bought things like glass frames. We didn’t want to buy major furniture just because we had a house. My Aunt gave me the best advice ever after we moved in. She sat me down and said “Don’t feel like you have decorate it all at once. You have all the time you’ll need. The main thing is that you have the house.” That stayed with me, and saved us a lot of money that we could not waste. We were just happy to have a house that our children could call home, and that we actually loved from top to bottom.
